  8. Thank you for evaluating The Scrambler 1.0.  For complete 
  9. instructions on how to play the game please see the on-line 
  10. help.  The Scrambler 1.0 is being distributed as shareware.  
  11. Registration is only $7.00 and will allow the startup 
  12. shareware notice to be disabled.  Please print out and fill in 
  13. the registration form (REGISTER.TXT).  Send it in along with a 
  14. check or money order payable to DunsonWare to the above 
  15. address.

  32. The following files are required to run The Scrambler 1.0.

  40. SCORE.DAT

  42. Also included is SCRAMBLE.ICO a icon file that you can use to 
  43. replace the default icon in the Program Manager group.

  45. Please place the above files into their own directory.  They 
  46. need to be kept together.

  48. The Scrambler was written in ToolBook 1.53 and requires the 
  49. runtime files to be installed on your machine.  If you do not 
  50. have the runtime files they can be found in SCRBL2.ZIP.  
  51. Please see the file INSTALL.WRI included in that ZIP file for 
  52. installation instructions.

  54. If you already have ToolBook 1.53 Runtime installed on your 
  55. system, make sure you have placed it in a directory that is 
  56. located on your path (the WINDOWS directory is a good place!)
  57. Please make sure your runtime is version 1.53 and that you have 
  58. the following runtime files installed:

  60. TBOOK.EXE
  61. TBKDLG.DLL
  62. TBKUTIL.DLL
  63. TBKBASE.DLL
  64. TBKCOMP.DLL
  65.  
  66. You may also have TBKFILE.DLL and TBKWIN.DLL.

  68. If you do not have TBKDLG.DLL, I have supplied that file with 
  69. this archive (SCRBL1.ZIP).

  76. Once you have the runtime installed and have placed the 
  77. Scrambler files into their own directory, you may proceed to 
  78. create a Program Manager item if you wish.

  89. Replace C:\windows with the directory you placed the runtime files in.
  90. Replace C:\mydir with the directory you placed The Scrambler 1.0 files in.

  93. 3. IMPORTANT - In the WORKING DIRECTORY field please enter the 
  94. path to the location of directory where you placed The 
  95. Scrambler 1.0 files in.

  102. If you associate *.TBK files with the executable TBOOK.EXE you 
  103. can simply double-click on the file SCRAMBLE.TBK from the File 
  104. Manager to start the game.  See your Windows Users Manual for 
  105. information on associating files.
